Beginning September 2024 we no longer meet at Benvenuto's, Fitchburg. For the 17 September meeting, we meet at Great Dane Pub (Hilldale location), 357 Price Place, Madison, Wis. That may change as we locate a more permanent monthly meeting location.
Your Membership and Participation Matter
The Post 151 American Legion family consists of its Legionnaire members, its Auxiliary, and its Sons of the American Legion (SAL) squadron. Our success depends on active membership, participation, and volunteerism across the entire family. We believe that our organization belongs to the people and the communities in which we serve. That geographic region of communities generally consists of the west and south sides of the city of Madison, Fitchburg, and adjacent portions of Middleton, Verona and rural Dane County. Membership, however, is not resitricted by geography as we have members who reside across the United States.
Since our charter on February 2, 1967, Post 151 has welcomed veterans from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all veterans and currently serving military personnel. Joining Post 151 enables you to continue serving God, Country, and Community.
Our mission is to enhance the well-being of veterans in our community, their families, our military, and our communities. We embrace the American Legion's vision of “Veterans Strengthening America," through our commitment to mutual helpfulness executed through a number of ongoing American Legion programs.
